What is Group KAT?

Group KAT (ketamine-assisted therapy) is a program designed for a group of 5-10 individuals.

What are the benefits?

For some, the idea of individual treatment can be daunting or feel isolating. Group KAT allows participants to build bonds of trust, shared experience, and safety within the group. Group KAT also comes at a significantly reduced rate compared to private KAT.

Structure of Our Group KAT Program:

Over the course of seven weeks, we will meet for sessions lasting between 90 to 180 minutes. Our time together will unfold as follows:

  • An initial medical intake and evaluation by our attentive medical team.

  • One group preparation session to collaboratively set intentions and build a foundation of trust among group participants.

  • Four group medicine sessions where ketamine acts as an adjunct to therapy, providing a space for reflection and insight.

  • A final group integration session to process and solidify the therapeutic work done, integrating these insights into daily life.

The ketamine-assisted therapy and the group setting was a new experience for me, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. However, I found the entire experience to be incredibly enlightening. The staff are knowledgeable, attentive to detail, and very in tune with each participant. I really liked having the opportunity to share or not without any pressure either way. Being in a group setting fostered a sense of community and solidarity that I didn't realize I needed. Emilee and her team are wonderful at what they do, and I'm deeply thankful for the opportunity to participate.
